“I always make time to go to StrategicFocus Plus meetings now.  I always have too much I should be doing at home, however I have learnt that these meetings are looking at big picture things, I always learn so much from guest speakers, and all the other members and StrategicFocus people.  I find there is so much wealth of experience in the room that I feel enthusiastic and come away with 20 key points to achieve prior to the next meeting.  I also find somebody in the room will have experienced an issue that I maybe facing, therefore not having to reinvent the wheel.  The meetings keep you achieving.”

“Rob and I would like to congratulate all the PA staff  on the successful conference in Melbourne.  I found the format to be very friendly and relaxing, not at all intimidating and the smaller group was excellent and allowed for some great networking opportunities.  The information sessions by the Professionals were very relevant and the information presented brought us up to date with the latest thoughts on the “meltdown”.  I feel the scope of experience and knowledge of the PA members is an extremely valuable resource available to this group and it should continue to be tapped into at every possible opportunity.  Finally, the Board Sessions continues to be a very powerful tool available to all of us involved with PA, the Melbourne session was one of the best I have been involved with.   I would encourage everyone to mark the date of the next conference in their diary NOW and make every effort possible to attend, you won’t be disappointed.”

The insights into 2 successful businesses showed us that what we are trying to achieve IS possible, with the help of good advisers, and attention to detail. The meeting had a good atmosphere, and some breakthroughs were achieved in the short board process.  Also, the exposure to a forward-thinker (John Gladigau) about the future of farming was great, but the take-home message was “What constitutes a profitable unit for us?”
